Troy Bowman, Professional Videographer
Troy’s passion has always been centered around the media production industry… from the equipment to the production and to the post-production aspects.
Before creating Apollo Productions, Troy spent his time perfecting his craft. He attended graduate film school in Dallas, TX where he was appointed in-house production manager and was responsible for all of the cinematic equipment on location. Troy used this position to hone his technical skills and further his creative vision.
A highlight in Troy’s life was meeting and working with acclaimed film director, Oliver Stone. Mr. Stone was president of the Dallas Film Commission and had been advised of Troy’s outstanding work ethic. Stone offered Troy the “once in a lifetime” opportunity to work on his motion pictures, “Born on the Fourth of July”, “JFK” and “Talk Radio.” This experience led to Troy being invited to join the production team for the movie “Problem Child” that featured John Ritter and was directed by Dennis Dugan.
Troy next went on to produce, direct and edit hundreds of national television commercials. In 1992, Troy was recruited by the Home Shopping Network where he spent many years as an integral part of the cable network’s acclaimed production team. Troy’s unique ability to creatively direct television segments and profile product lines has gained him recognition from industry leaders.
These years of experience and being recognized as a business leader prompted Troy to create his own full service media production company, Apollo Productions. Today, Apollo Productions is considered a leader in the media production industry and continues to stay on the cutting-edge of this ever-changing technology industry.
On a personal note, Troy has devoted over a decade as an appointed board member for the Volunteer Suncoast homeless rescue mission. He also has spent many years volunteering with H.A.R.C. (helping adults with disabilities) and mentoring under privileged teens.
