By Troy Bowman
Secret 4:Position Yourself
Somewhere in the body of your piece position yourself as the expert. This is called the positioning statement.
Secret 5: Trim Your Story
Write your story to the end trimming it for timing purposes. Now when you have finished, take your copy and tape it to the mirror and rehearse. Remember you are sending a message to millions of viewers in cyber space about you, your product or your service.
Secret 6: Rehearse Before Shooting
Rehearsal is crucial in an effort to look professional. When you are ready tape your half page of copy next to the camera lens and look at the copy. Try a few dry runs till you feel you have got a good handle on the text (after all you wrote it) and you look comfortable.
Secret 7: Play Back Your Message
Do a play back. Your message should be around 15 to 30 seconds. Does it look like you are looking in the lens?
